Wean
greetin' noun
The ultimate goal of any Nedette over the age of seven is to
have her first wean. The first born to a girl in NedVille is
considered very special for a wean is her passport to a rent
free council house. Most maws put their daughters on the
housing list at the age of eight in anticipation of the
happy event.
Wedding
atypical noun
Contrary to popular belief, Neds do occasionally get
married. Sometimes a Ned will do so because he has found the
Nedette of his glue induced dreams but more often it is
because he has found a sawn-off shotgun pressed against his
chest.
Wedding are always held at the ‘Redgie Office’ followed by a
slap up meal at KFC’s then a good bevie at the Working Men’s
Social.
